Duende is a short film my friends and I developed in college as a remedy to feeling creatively stuck.
I wrote and researched the script, led the stop motion animation process, handled sound design, helped with prop making and storyboarding, and contributed additional special effects work.
This film was editing in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, bringing together stop motion and digital animation to shape the final story.
More than anything, Duende was a labour of friendship and the desire to be creative.
From using fishing line to move our main character to photographing handmade trees against green screens so they could be composited in post, this film became a hands-on learning experience at every stage of the process.
